Project Manager (Sanborn, NY or Coppell, TX)

Position Summary:

The Project Manager is the front-line individual who is responsible for the day-to-day management of Matrix projects. Projects include new client onboarding from presales to hand-off to account management, new program onboarding, operational and process improvement projects. This position includes Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring / Controlling and Closure.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Manages projects starting with the client project approval and including solution and document design, writing the technical specification document, tracking through development, proofing development output, and following live work during a ramp up period at least through the first invoice.
  • Coordinates with directors/managers of project resources (Sales, Development, Procurement, Operations and Client Relations).
  • Single point of contact for the Customer to address questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the duration of the project.
  • Acts as a liaison between Sales, Development, Operations and Client Relations
  • Facilitates communication between and between project team members both internal and external.
  • Owns the change management process throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Creates and maintains project plans (including tracking tasks, milestones, milestone reviews, and deadlines) and communicating project status.
  • Manages the review, delivery and sign-off of all project documentation.
  • Follows the PMO defined project management methodology.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through follow-up, responsiveness to client requests, and thorough communication during the project’s duration.
  • Responsible for maintaining Matrix system, product, and capability knowledge, implementing, and training latest features and functionality of the Matrix systems with the client.
  • Projects to be managed include onboarding new customers, new business, new features, as well as process improvement or operations projects.
  • Additional responsibilities/duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Five (5) plus years of experience in project management in manufacturing and/or Direct Mail operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, or Engineering, required. (or equivalent industry experience)
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office required. Working knowledge of Smartsheet, Jira preferred. Familiarity with MS Project, or other workflow software solutions is beneficial.
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands.
  • Strong attention to detail, effective decision maker, effective problem solver.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, proceed with objectives with little or no supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present information in an understandable and concise manner.
  • Experience in all areas of digital print and mail processing preferred, but not required.

Work Environment and Physical Demand Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Position is preferred on site but may be hybrid or remote.
  • As projects dictate, regular after-hours and occasional weekend work will be required.
  • Some projects may require after-hours contact, especially for customers in a different time zone, or during the ramp up of a project.

Salary Range:             $70,000-$110,000
